Health update on me ~
Had a doctors appointment yesterday with the gastro-something or other doctor. He seems very nice & he told me to buy some prilosec & take it every morning on an empty stomach. That should relieve the discomfort thats been going on. I also go in March 15th for the test I was dreading they would say was needed. The one where they stick a tube down your throat. GROSS. But where I have the swallowing problem - he said that can be caused by scar tissue (which is not a good thing to have) So they will send this tube down there to see if theres scar tissue, how much & make sure whats causing the upset. He said it could either be an ulcer or acid reflux.
He seems really nice & made me feel at ease. When he first told me about the test, he said now before you look at me like a deer in headlights & tone out what else Im saying - you will be sedated for this test. Well thank the good Lord! He said the test itself is only like 4-5 minutes..its actually going to take longer to sedate me & for me to recover from the sedation. You're there for about 2 1/2 to 3hrs & someone must drive you home. So Jeff will come with me & then when we're done, drop me off at Moms so he can go to work. Apparently they like someone to be with you for 12hrs after. So Mum doesnt mind me hanging out there ... maybe she'll feel bad for me & make me something good for lunch : )
The med. assistant or nurse - whatever she is, that took my blood pressure was also very nice. She comforted me by saying that if she needed a gastro -something or other that she would want to be with the doctor im seeing. And she swore she wasnt saying that because I was here to him. She also didnt mind that when she said we we're going to the scale for a weigh in, i declined & she was ok with that... I really dont like to argue about that. Im scarred for life because when I first really started with this problem, which was about a year & 1/2 ago or something, the doctor told me it was because I was not at my ideal weight. Then he made me feel like such a loser, I went back to work in tears. So now when they want to weigh me - I just say, Oh no, I dont do that thank you. I should sue his ass off for just telling me I was fat instead of helping me out...the asshole..
But anyway, before I totally go off on tyrant about that loser, let just say that hopefully I will be in good hands & this gastro something or other doctor will take good care of me.

Yeah! You are starting to get some answers!!!
I'm so proud of you for going to the Dr - I know it was a huge deal for you.
Keep me posted!!!
If Jeff can't go with you, let me know...I'll go! You can do it...just remember, the fastest you get it done the more results you'll get and you won't have to dread this awful test anymore.
