Toodle looo weekend
It's Tuesday, but Im still having a hard time accepting that the weekend went by so quickly. Sad huh? It was a good weekend despite the weather. Saturday, my 2 sisters & their kids came by for lunch. And one more sister popped by quick. We had a great time. Sandy made awesome eggplan... Sharon made an awesome apple pie. Thank goodness there were 3 pieces left & well since it was at my house - I got to keep the leftovers!! Yippeeeee and of course, the last piece disappeared yesterday...plus the awesome macaroni salad she makes! I got off easy, just bought cold cuts & mixed strawberries & sugar to have strawberry shortcake. Nothing wrong with that! ; )
Sunday we went shopping and well I really shouldnt be out spending money. But the bad attitude that has been creaping up lately took over & Evil little jj came out. So the attitude was charge today, pay off sometime in this lifetime. This attitude really needs to stop before it gets too out of control. But sometimes you just get so sick of penny pinching & trying to pay off bills that you have a complete melt down & go charge crazy. Maybe someone should take the card away from me. At least until its paid off! But the good news is, I got some great stuff pretty cheap. For example, Bob's we had a $10 reward gift certificate & they were having a sale.... so I got a $50 Columbia sweater for $19.98. Now you cant beat that! The charge HAD to come out for that!
Monday work was open..went in for a 1/2 day. Went with Jeff's friends & their 3 kids, Jeff of course & his nephew to the Circus. It was a good time. But couldnt wait to get home. Jeff's nephew Jake kept asking for the lions during the 1st half I had to keep reassuring him that they were coming up soon. Thank God they did! They came on right after intermission... 5 minutes after the lions left the stage - Jake wanted to go home. It was like we have to wait until its over Jakie... maybe there will be more animals if we stay & watch. He's a good kid though. He's a mini me of Uncle Jeff - thats for sure! The way they both had their hands in the popcorn was so funny. They were eating the same way.
All in all it was a good weekend. Unfortunately, Karla, Ants & me didnt get to watch the new Amytiville horror... Jeff's sleeping on the couch so I might throw it now (even if he's sleeping as long as he's in the room!) I cant watch this movie alone! Especially not after Emily Rose.. (yes STILL Freaked out!) Maybe the kids & i can watch it together next weekend. This weekend is going to be too crazy with Heidi's babyshower & Jeff's sisters taste of home party - which i completely forgot about. I have no money - so if Jeff wants his sister to do well - he better give me some $$$$$ : )
Speaking of movies - we watched Fever Pitch - Sunday??? What a cute movie!
