Recap of the weekend....(sorry such a long entry!)

Saturday was pretty busy before a night out to celebrate the New Year. It didn't start out too well that's for sure. 3am Saturday morning woke up not feeling well. It had started Thursday night & by Friday after lunch - had the back pain & weird feeling when I swallowed. Finally as it approached 5am and feeling very sleep deprived, thought maybe some Pepto Bismol would help. It calmed my tummy down just enough for sleep to take over my weary body.

So when I woke up & got up around 10 - said hey not too bad - plenty of time to meet Lauren at 12. Well guess I dilly dallied cuz as usual, I was late. And Lauren is so prompt ... It was a nice time. We met at Panera & since Lauren was there nice & early, she got us a table right in front of the fire place. How cozy! So we had some nice lunch, a nice chat & I gave her the candles she ordered. Minus a candle that was suppose to be in the box, but wasnt. There have been so many problems with this candle order & it has effected all her stuff! I feel awful. Hopefully when the shade she ordered comes off of back order, they can send her the other candle as well.

After we went our separate ways, ran to the mall to make some returns/exchanges.. off to Barnes & Noble to return a book Jeff's parents gave me.. I asked Jeff for the new Oprah book & I didnt really give him much info to go by...so Jeff's Mum ran around trying to find it for me. Well B&N didnt know about a book so they suggested a book off of Oprah's bookclub instead. I felt bad returning it, but it wasnt something I would enjoy reading. She felt bad giving it to me since she knew it had to be wrong. That was very nice of her to try, but it was my fault for lack of better info.

After spending over an hour in there, I came out with this little book that seems so so & a magazine. I have a $1.26 left to spend! DOH. It didnt dawn on me to grab some mags since the book I did find was inexpensive. So it just came down to grabbing what was near the register. Oh well. Its so funny, there are so many books right there at your fingertips & it took me forever. Found the book I did get pretty quickly, but was trying to find something different. If there was something else I liked, it was over $22 and didn't think it was worth it.

Im into the psychic books now. Love psychic shows & everything else...so have had my fill with forensic stuff right now... and leaning more towards psychic. So the book I did get is about a psychic - but not sure if its going to be really enjoyable. We shall see. Still have a book to finish & then can start hitting that one.

So then if was off to our friends party. We had a great time. And they had someone doing character pictures of everyone. Ours is cute. We said we liked muscle cars, beach things... So im in a red bikini with my arms on my hips, while jeff's driving by in a muscular car looking at me like hey baby. Its too cute! Our other friends picture was adorable... their first date was in a snow storm so he drew them outside throwing snowballs at each other. The guy did a great job on everyone's. We were there till about 3am. And it didnt even feel like 3... but we made ourselves leave while a whole bunch of others stayed. The snow had accumulated some so we figured it was best to start heading out.

Needless to say woke up feeling like shit. Woke up about 8:30 so that was only like 5 or so hours sleep.. woke up with a sinus headache big time. But great excuse to stay in pj's, curled up in bed watching movies : ) Tried to go back to sleep but it took awhile. Watched Elf, Trapped in Paradise, something else that I cant recall & then fell asleep to Throw Mama from the Train. Felt bad leaving Jeff alone to watch the Pats game..but he gets too involved sometimes anyways. Kept him company for a little bit & figured it was best to escape to some movies.

Got up & finally showered, felt a little better after sleeping.. and then we just hung in. Almost bought a turkey Friday night to make a nice dinner Sunday/Monday, but they all looked so big...but of course thats all we wanted all weekend! : )

Yesterday was uneventful. Went to Bobs & Market Basket, and Kmart. While at B&N forgot I needed a new calendar for work. DOH coulda been outta there so much sooner if I walked away with that! Kmart didnt have much.. so got a little hang up one of Winnie the pooh. Its cute & good for now & it was only a $1.99...so cant complain.

So thats it of our long weekend. Nothing too exciting. Hope you had a wonderful long weekend!
Now we have to deal with all this snow. Dont know about you, but im jealous school has a snow day !!!! Waaaah! Why cant we have snow days too!?!?!?!?!

Stay warm & dry today. And be careful later on when the snows suppose to start again. Jeffy drove me to work today (awww how sweet) so dont have to worry about driving - but will miss K&A if they make it over to Grammy's.
