Helloooo My Friends ... Helloooo
Geez its been forever since I've posted anything! Things have been quite busy and the computer at home as been down.. so therefore, a gap in the blogging. Looks like I've missed a lot of fun things I've seen on Laurens blog that I meant to do & put here - but ... lack of time put a damper on that.
Anyhoo - waiting for a report to run & figured I would try to jot down a few quick things.
* My Dad really went home a few weeks ago from the hospital - for real this time. Last time he said he was going home, but they wouldnt let him leave. It was his wishful thinking than anything. He's doing ok, but needs oxygen from time to time, which he had delivered to his house for emergencies.
*Jeff is FINALLY pretty much over his cold. His doctor gave him Allegra & some steriods.. I think his lungs were pretty inflamed so that helped him quite a bit.
*Missed a couple of bdays here - which im sure you guys were sick of seeing the picture of the same cake over & over again! So happy bday to Sharon who is a Feb baby & Johnny whos bday was last week.
*Had the endoscopy test done Wednesday. Jeff thought he could wait in the room with me, but he got shooed away to the waiting room as they led me away. Everything wasnt too bad.. just got really nervous while they were prepping me for the iv. Im so afraid of needles, I say ouch & pull away even before they have the thing in their hands. I tried to sit on the bed the first time & the wheels werent locked, so the bed went slip sliding away! All in all the rest of it went pretty good, except I came to for about 2 seconds, heard the doctor say ulcer, no cancer. think i said Ok great thanks & went back into la la land. I dont even remember getting dressed & all I can think of is gee - where the curtains closed when I put my bra back on!?!?!?!? So just have to take Zantac & go back in 3 months for this test again so he can see if its healed. Thank goodness its an ulcer and nothing more! I was very afraid of cancer or heart disease because one of the symptoms to those is the feeling of food still in your throat which is one of my biggest things. Plus those diseases run in both sides of the family so... its all that you can think of. But Jeff was very cute with me & I felt like a drunken sailor pretty much. On the way to Mum's Jeff stopped at Dunkins & we got bagels, dunkachinos & some munchins for Mom's house.
*The company trip has been planned and we will be going to Marco Island Florida for 3 nights, 4 days! It looks so beautiful there. Jeff & I are thinking of leaving earlier or staying later & trying to hit Universal while we are there. My friend Kristen also said that they have Outlets near the Airport & there's a nice zoo in Naples. I've heard Naples is very beautiful and is actually the place my brother would like to retire to someday. It will be wonderful to see palm trees! Now if I could just lose 20 lbs before we go, so my shorts will fit! I must be more diligent & goal orientated & try to do the South Beach again. Lauren did give me the book & I've tried to adapt to some of it, but Im just going to really learn how to discipline myself & get with it!
