Very sad news

Last night my mother called, about 9:30 or so. I did get a little nervous at first because she never calls that late.

My Aunt Rosie has been admitted into the hospital listed at terminal. She is the back bone to her family. She's the one who keeps them all going. What are they, especailly my Uncle going to do without her?

This family has been through so much these last 5/6 years now. First Uncle Tony had cancer. We thought they were going to lose him. He had looked like a little frail 90 year old man there for awhile.. but thankfully, he bounced back. Then Christine was diagnosed with cancer while she was pregnant with Giana Rose. They lost her almost 3 years ago. Now their wife/mother is in terminal condition.

She started out with breast cancer while Christine was still fighting. They have been finding tumors here & there - but they thought she was doing well. Just as my father was in the hospital, my Uncle had told my dad that they found tumors all along her spine, and although it didnt sound good, she was going for treatments in hopes of prolonging her life. Now she is in the hospital on morphine to be kept comfortable.

My mother is going to visit this week and I told her I wanted to come too. I didnt care about work, I wanted to visit. But now I dont know if I would be too emotional to go. A few weeks ago I did send her a nice card to let her know Jeff & I were thinking of her, and my mother sent a fruit basket from all of us. Just wish there was more we could do.

Please keep Auntie Rosie in your thoughts & prayers as well as her family. They have been through so much, and although Im not blaming God, its just not fair that he's taking her away too. Her grandchildren & family need her. Especially Giana after losing her mom. Its just so sad - no words can even describe it.
