Bad experience @ Whole Foods!

keep forgetting to post this. a couple of fridays ago, jeff was going out with the boys. i didnt want to get pizza or anything bad for my dinner alone, plus it was a beatiful night out, so took a ride to bedford to wholefoods. i love their mac salad and its been awhile so off i went.

got home, putting everything away & noticed the chicken burger box was neatly sliced open.. mmmm how did i not notice this was open when i bought them?? how come the guy packing them didnt notice they were open & maybe say something? well ok, lets just make sure that everything is still sealed up... nope. the plastic the burgers are in is neatly open from top to bottom. great :(

so then i stick a note on them "do not eat/need to return" and sit down to a movie & the yummy mac salad. here was mistake buy #2. it tasted funny... another bite ok now its fine... another bite.. this is weird is it my taste buds?? one more bit (yes it should never have gone this far!) oh God this shit is awful! and in the trash it went with a very loud boom.

so then for the rest of the night i suffered with not being able to get the taste out of my mouth. drank so many things and then ate so many things. finally it was gone. but then a little later on, i had the hiccups & needless to say it kept coming back to haunt me. thank goodness for about 10 tums & a huge glass of water!

i should have stormed back to the store & returned both things but i was soo aggravated & at this point exhausted, i just did not have the energy.

was telling my mum about the ordeal & she said when mayo is just starting to turn, it wont smell (cuz i sniffed the hell out of it to see if it was bad) but it will taste funny. is that not very disappointing to hear ?? ok so whole foods is organic & healthier food, but watch out, they'll kill ya on the food poisoning. greeeat.

needless to say, it will be quite awhile before i buy anything else in there unless its a smoothie!

Oh gross! That's why I try not to buy anything premade like that because I'm scared of all that stuff. The cafe downstairs keep their stuff out like tuna and chickensalad in the am for lunch..i mean early like 8am. I know it's on a cooler of some sort, but still how can that still be safe?

I'm sorry you had a bad experience.

Icky!

That stinks - I've never been to Wholefoods - I'm a Trader Joe's gal myself. :-)
