The craft fair
Thank God its over.. the craft fair at work has come & gone! I didnt sell much though.. 1 small $25 basket & 2 stockings filled with goodies $20/each. Not bad, but was hoping to get rid of a couple more.
2 people at work are thinking of buying one... this girl is planning on buying one of the $50 baskets! Thats nice! Its still in E's office though, so hopefully she'll buy it this week. And then my boss wants to check them out again. She said she didnt look at them too well when she went by the table.
It was a nice day, but very long of just standing there & not helping too many people. Everyone loved my table though. Fellow employees who knew me kept saying how pretty my baskets were & how the table looked. One woman asked if I've been doing this for a long time.. im like nope - first go at it :)
It did look nice I do have to say! Everything was show cased a little better with the help of Elaine who let me borrow a black tablecloth. So there was that, then i had cream colored placemats down, 2 on each side with a pretty glittery, floral swag going down the middle.. the baskets spread out & little candy canes all over the table. Think I deserve an A for presentation anyways : )
Its funny though, men who came by the table were like oh pretty, whats in the baskets? One guy thought I said Opium instead of OPI. lol!
It was a lot of work though & am positive that I will not do that again. Dont mind making them for people who request one, but dont think i'll do a craft fair or anything again. Too much work to not really sell that much ya know what I mean? If I went to shows all the time, maybe it would be worth it - but who has the time??

that's great you sold a couple of things. Some people don't even have that luck. I'm sure you will be able to sell the last couple of baskets. Did you take pictures?
I know, it's a lot of work, but at least you got your name out there. Maybe doing it once a year or something?

The craft fair sounded fun - you got your product out there and that's a great thing!
