BON JOVI !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Found out Saturday afternoon that Krystina was actually going to the show Sat. night - not Friday. My mistake! Didnt know if we'd find each other, but figured we'd try.
Jeff drove Karla & me to the train station & waited with us. He even shoved $50 at me in case we ended up going out to dinner before the show since we were getting there so early. The train arrives & the woman conductor announces "the train to Bon Jovi" So we said good by to Jeff, saw the woman I work with who also won tickets & boarded the train. The ride went by pretty quick.. and Chris' daughter knew where we were suppose to go once we got off the train. We stood line line for premiere seating and about 6:30 they let us go in. The box seats were really nice! There was free soda, a whole bunch of ice, a little frig, a closet for your coats, and your own private bathroom. We sat outside of the box though in the regular seats & waited patiently for our man to show : )
We called Krystina & how funny - in this whole big place she ended up sitting pretty much directly from where we were, except she was closer to the floor area. When I spotted her, I was like Oh Does Jenna have her hair in a pony? And she's like YAH SHE DOES!!! It took her a little longer to find me, then Karla spotted her & then Jenna finally looked up & saw us. It was hysterical. Krystina even text message hi to Auntie Jan & Karla on the big screen that was up behind the stage.
The opening band was local & they were fantastic. We couldnt catch their name though.. Air something or other.. Woman lead singer - she had a great voice. Then "DA MAN" came on... He was singing not too far from us on the floor (closer to Krystina) we were all screaming! The show was amazing! I havent seen them since the Slippery when Wet tour. John still looks great - minus the spandex pants & the long puffy hair. He sang Runaway & I told Karla - I saw this video on MTV & thats when I first fell in love for the first time with Jon : ) None of my friends had heard of him yet, so I got them on the lookout for him & they all loved him. Jon's picture hung in my locker thru most of high school.. Then about 10 - my all time fav song came on "Living on a prayer" Wooooo hoooooO! Near the end of the night, He put on a Santa hat with a Pats logo & sang Run Run Rudolph.. He was just amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just like Lauren said, I fell in love with him all over again. And pretty mad at myself that I left one his cd's at home! Really wanted to listen to it today! DOH!
I sort of felt like an idiot though at the concert because I tapped my foot the whole time, swayed here & there, raised up my arms, yelled really loud & sang. Some people in our box sang, clapped & i think one other person raised their arms. Everyone else around us was rocking, & i wanted to have fun too. Hopefully the other Progress people didnt think I was a loon! But good news is Bon Jovi said something about coming back in the Summer! WE are all buying tickets & going!
Karla had an awesome time! She kept thanking me for taking her after the show was over. So glad she came with me! She got a cute tshirt & I bought a book for Anthony & said if he didnt want it, she could keep it.
We met Krystina & her friend near Dunkins to say a quick hi. They are soo cute! And then it was off to home.... we were exhausted. The train filled up quickly & we ended up sitting with someone.. The rest of his crowd was in front of us. One woman was totally trashed. She kept asking if we had a pen.. we were like Noooooo. then i heard her say she was going to be sick & i kept telling Karla, get up get up ! I didnt want anyone's sickness on our shoes! But luckily she didnt, she fell asleep instead. And then after the first stop, we were able to grab own seat thank God! Karla was like gee she was drunk.. and I go yup, thats the reason why you never drink too much!
I took Jeff out to dinner on Sunday to say thank you for everything he did for me this weekend. Maybe my talk with him a few weeks ago made him realize that he hasnt been acting all that wonderful. I might have to buy something special for him for Christmas : )
Oh yah - Sunday we also did some Christmas shopping. I cant find Saraphine Angels that I buy my Mum! Hopefully the store here in town will have them.
BTW - Lauren - Noahs at the Pheasant Lane mall is going out & right now they have 10% off some stuff. They have a ton of stuffed boyds, but not a lot of the figurines. Jeff got me one - it was the only one I really liked.. she's swinging on a tall tree. Go take a peak though & see if there's something you like!
Ok here it is Monday (already!) Have a great week everyone!
