Movie reviews
Tonight was a night alone with my bestfriend. She likes the same movies, the same pizza & so on. She knows all my secrets...knows how i like my popcorn... yup, my bestfriend is myself. Yes, definitly a weird statement to make, but right now I just felt like throwing it out there. We are probably all our own bestfriends..who knows us better right?
Well since Jeff was out for the night having work done on his car & visiting his family, I ran to Bob's for a pair of gray/pink Nike's I said I wouldnt buy so I could save my money. They have been calling my name for days! So now they are snuggled safely in my closet waiting for spring.. and hopefully for a pair of gray sweatpants that they will look perfect with ; )
Ok so then on goes the night.... run into the hardware store where my nephew Nick works to say a quick hello, run to order pizza & then run into Blockbuster for some movies.
Found the first one right away.. Brother Grimm. Was going to leave after that, but said aaah the pizza has a few more minutes to cook, so lets peak around a little bit more.... then there is the movie I have been waiting MONTHS to see... Must Love Dogs. Forgot it was out! Just grabbed it & ran!
Brother Grimm: based on the Grimm fairytales/folklore. I've never read the book, but have been wanting to buy it for some time. The movie is pretty interesting & some lines are lines from some very popular fairtales. Its adventure with some humor mixed in. Matt Damon & Heath Ledger are the Grimm Brothers & the movie is based on the legendary storytellers. They come in contact with many characters from their stories. It is a good movie. Enjoyed it. Jeff came home near the end of it & he seemed interested in watching it. I could sit & watch it again... so we'll probably watch it tomorrow night.
Must Love Dogs: read the book last Summer & fell in love. And of course John Cusack is in the movie (LOVE HIM) so it was a definite must see. This movie is just adorable. Need to buy this so I can watch it about 100 times! If you love You Got Mail & just cute, fall in love kind of movies - you have to see it. Its just adorable. Dianne Lane is the main character. She's just so darn cute, you end up loving her & wanting her to meet her special somebody. Shes been divorced for about 8 months now & her family tries to get her back out on dates. They show her pictures of available men and even help her answer personal ads & getting set up on line.
Ok movie fans, thats the reviews! If you rent either of these movies, let me know what you thought of them.
