Friday happenings

First of all just want to say thank God I woke up from nap in time to watch Duet with the stars tonight! The final 2 were Lucy Lawless & Alfonso aka Carlton.... and the winner is the one I have been routing for:

Congratulations Alfonso! Although everyone really was fantastic, he was my fav. 2nd fav was Lucy Lawless... she can sing, shake it, and her hair is just awesome! If I could find a good pic of the cut, it might be something I would try to get. I thought I saved her pic like these 2 dudes here, but she's not on the computer! Anyways, Wayne Brady is so awesome... well I just LOVE him, he is so hysterical (like on Whos line is it anyway) and boy can he sing. He sang tonight with Boys 2 Men who are just amazing anyway, and Wayne sounded so perfect with them. Great show! The judges have been funny, especially Little Richard.. Hopefully he is ok, he didnt look well & then Wayne said he had to leave. And Marie Osmond even sang a little.

And today was sad with M leaving : (

Got a little teary eyed here & there but held it together. Im going to miss her a lot. We had a lot of fun sharing an office together. She LOVED the basket I made for her too :)

We had a short little gathering in our office. Liz got her a beautiful pair of earrings & some twix bars & a card that we all signed. i felt funny that i signed it when i found out she put it in the gift so it looked like it was from all of us. Karen & Carol gave her a large Yankee Candle Jar - pumpin spice. And Manasi insisted on brining in the treats.. she brought in cherry cheesecake & pumpkin pie from Costco - they were delicious!

So thats that. Shes on her way to her new adventure.. but luckily its right down the street so we can all still meet up from time to time. She kept telling me thank you and that she loved me. She's a sweet person.. I hope many wonderful things are in store for her.

Keep your fingers crossed temp/permanent, whoever, is easy to get along with.

Of course she loved the basket you gave her - it's a wonderful and creative gift!

Sounds like it was a fun gathering - that cheesecake sounds yummy! :-)

Keeping my fingers crossed for ya that they hire someone soon!

It's too bad they couldn't keep her but in the end, it may be for the best. Sounds like a nice thing everyone did for her...that's great!

Oh and Duets with the stars? What will they come up with next? I didn't even know about this one.
