Goodbye Manasi ~

Friday is Manasi's (my office mate) last day :(

She has been temping & we all knew she would be leaving when we found a permanent person, however, its just too soon. She is going home to India for about 2 1/2 wks & was nervous that they wouldnt keep her position open.. so she did the only thing she could, and found another temp job.

Hopefully she will do better at this next job, especially after going home, that they will keep her permanent.

Part of the reason I believe she does not excel at her present position is because she is home sick. Her mind is not on her job at times. It must be so difficult to be so far away from your family, especially when you are that close to them. But if you cant do the job right.....

I gave her a list of ?s to ask though, if the next job becomes permanent, what are the benefits, things like that. And I also suggested that she get in writing that this place will wait for her while she is on vacation and not have her temp for a couple of weeks, only to replace her while she's gone. Just thought that would be something better in writing than just a verbal confirmation.

Got her a cute card & will be making a small OPI basket for her. Actually I couldnt find a regular basket, but at WalMart found this cute little accessory basket which was inexpensive & the perfect size. She is going to love it!

Oh yeah, about 2wks or maybe its not even that long, Manasi brought me in a plant. She has been taking bits & pieces of Karens plants, letting them soak in water until they grow new roots & then she's planting them for people. She knows I love the fall so she planted them in a beatiful reddish planter with fall leaves on it. Its soooo adorable!
