Girlie chit chat
Dont know if you guys know about Evelyn. I met her over the phone from my last job. She always had to check on Wakefern orders so I was her rep. We've never met in person, but we've remained in contact through email all this time since we get along so well.
She lived in NJ & recently moved to Naples to be a closer to her family, about a month after we were at Marco Island - which is right next door. So too bad we just missed each other. Anyways, she called the other night to catch up and she is such a riot on the phone. I've never had a friendship with someone I never met in person. Its kind of cool in a way. And if my brother & his family move to Naples like they are planning on doing someday, maybe E & me can hook up for a real live visit.
She's a great person & really wish the best for her. Its a big move & a lot of getting use to, so just hope this move turns out making her life everything she wants it to be.
And its nice to know that I've helped her along the way. She had emailed me asking about marriage & wanting advice about her boyfriend. Her boyfriend every so often was leaving her high & dry - basically needing "space" but never telling her. So I told her she deserved to be with someone who wanted her all the time & didnt have "issues" every couple of months. That she needed to tell him to get away from her, and that if she stayed strong & did that, that he would probably come back wanting her, and she could think things thru to see if this is what she would want forever.
Luckily, the advice I gave was good & she did exactly that. He wanted her back - but guess what, Evelyn wanted to move on without him. Im so proud & happy for her because if she had married this guy eventually, by the sounds of things, she would always be miserable.
She's a strong, brave woman & so happy to say she's my friend :)

Its funny how we can build strong relationships with people we haven't even met. I experienced this when I was blogging. I "met" a lot of cool people
Good for her for standing strong and making such a difficult decision.
Sometimes, we need to do what's for the best. Even if it's a painful choice.
