Karla found her prom dress

The Thursday the kids had no school, Sandy was off & I decided to have it off. We met with Sharon & she took us to the Ultimate. She then took the boys back home so they wouldnt get in the way.

The 3 of us were in the gown shop for 4 hours! But 4 hours & like 30 dresses later, Karla picked the one she wanted. She tried on a few that looked really gorgeous, but when it was done to the final 2, she chose "the one" : )

We dont even know which one of us grabbed it since we had so darn many.. but its a pretty shade of blue with some black in it.. its puffy at the bottom with beautiful beading in it. Guess its pretty similar to her junior prom dress - the netting at the bottom of it. The top is different though. She also found jewelry there as well. Sandy said its your senior prom - one stop shopping is the easiest to do right now. The poor thing though couldnt find shoes there. She had wide feet & the shoes she was trying on were not comfortable enough for her.. but shoes & a bag is all she needs and there's plenty of time for that.

We were a little aggravated with the girl who helped us. in the beginning she kind of gave Karla an attitude about how late it was for dress shopping and the choices were probably limited because they dont sell the same dress to anyone else going to your prom. Gee - we thought we were heading out earlier enough & we even said it to her.. we kind of gave her an attitude back. There was only like 18 dress#s on the chick's list.. thats not too bad. The way she was talking to Karla like it was May for crying out loud. Thankfully she lost some of her attitude & really helped Karla out though. She definitely did work her butt off handling the multiple dresses we had. Oh well. If they want the sale, they'll help you out.

Karla was disappointed though when she went to Macy's a few days later to help a friend find a prom dress & found her dress there. Oh well. Hopefully she will still be the only one wearing that particular one.

It can be such a difficult task finding the perfect prom dress.

Post pics when the big day arrives - I'm sure she will look absolutely amazing!
