Bday woes

You've probably already figured the soon to be birthday girl is having a slight problem with the upcoming day. Its difficult sometimes. You want to celebrate... you want a cake and candles, and you want to hear someone sing Happy Bday to Yooooou even if its off key. Its something you look forward to. Sometimes. Why is it everything else about a birthday can be fun & entertaining except the number you're turning?

Its very difficult especially when you feel like you are still young enough to be carded at the store/bar. Now its like you sit there trying to do mental telepathy.... "please ask for my id...please please ask for my id" The last time I got asked at the liquor store was about 2 years ago by some older woman. Told her I loved her & that she was my new bf ! And she told me I looked like a baby! Well thank YOU very much M'am.. thats the best darn compliment I've had in so long! And the girl I was with was 27/28 & she was soo pissed cuz she wasnt carded! She went to a different cashier though..another woman but slightly younger that the woman who assisted me.

Its still difficult though. Especially when you're finding more gray hair... oh wait - is that a NEW wrinkle!?!? Is that huge ass veins on my ankles??? Whos old lady body is this & where is my young vein/wrinkle free one???

Anyway, told Jeff that Sunday will be nice... but please please - no number candles. Just regular candles.. I dont care if there's 40 on there... just cant bear to see the actual # blaring out at me... wreaking havoc on my sanity... whats left of it anyway.
