Good bye Pat...

My office mate has been let go I believe. Im very sad about that.. but im sure there are circumstances Im not aware of, so just have to deal with it.

I came back to work Monday after my Aunt's funeral finding out she went home early Thursday, was out on Friday, so Monday we're thinking maybe she's sick.. .then I find out she wasnt coming back.

She had some weird ways (who doesnt) but she is a very nice woman. I got her a couple of cards, one I signed just from me & one that I asked a few people to sign. She came in last Saturday to pick up her stuff.. its hard to not say good bye to someone, to wish them well to their face - ya know what i mean?

But how nice is this.. I left her cards in the draw with some of her personal stuff & I came into work this past Monday finding a gift on my chair & her plant on my bookcase. On her card was "a little something for your window" its a bunny & a chickie holding plants & watering cans. Very me - very cute. The note said to the best office mate ever. What a sweet heart. I'll have to send her a thank you card. I miss her already. Especially when she said "oh crap"

So now Im alone waiting for a replacement office mate. Its funny because a week before she left, we had the conversation how lucky we were to have each other, that we got along and no one acted really out of whack with the other. Hopefully the new room mate will be a good fit in here - no drama, no power trips, no needing to be a show-off, or feel like they're better or need to be better - ya know if its a woman - no catty attitude.
